Belated recognition of March 27th anniversary

March 27, 1794 – The United States Government establishes a permanent navy and authorizes the building of six frigates. 

Personal Postscript — As a 25 year Navy veteran who retired 30 years ago, I cannot let the anniversary of the 1794 establishment and authorization go unnoticed. So, although I’m a day late, here is my salute to the world’s greatest Navy.
